Hello there!
My name is Eric Kulwicki and I work with wealth management clients in the Brookfield and New Berlin, WI area. I currently reside in New Berlin with my wife and three kids and we love it here! We’re a New Berlin West family, so some of you may have already seen me around. Say hi if you do!
I’ve always been someone who cared about supporting my local community. My goal is to be able to service the wealth management needs of those in New Berlin and the surrounding local areas. I think my team and I bring a ton of quality experience to support clients and I think you would be pleasantly surprised as to who we are and how we do things.
About Me
My Experience and My Team. I have over 20 years of financial industry experience, with deep experience across investment portfolio management, research and working as an investment consultant to other financial advisors (other financial advisors pay me for help). I have a team of internal and external financial professionals that I work with across financial planning, estate planning, tax planning, insurance and of course, investment management. If there is something that I don’t know, I have plenty of resources to get an answer or I can at least point you in the right direction.
My Clients. My advisory business is split between being a wealth advisor to individuals and families (these are often called retail clients), and as an institutional investment consultant to other wealth management firms. Both my retail clients and institutional clients appreciate that I can bring perspective from both client types and I think everyone benefits because of it. I personally love the balance and my clients are great people, so it makes it really easy!
Technology. I’m very well-versed on the technology side of things and fully leverage the technology available to me to enhance the services and experience for my clients. In my opinion, I utilize some of the best technology across investment portfolio management, research, and financial planning. For those looking for an advisor that can keep up with you on the technology side, I’m probably a good fit. Not all advisors are.
My Capacity and Taking on New Clients. One of the important things to ask an advisor is what their capacity for new clients is. Some advisors have hundreds of clients and it takes months to get an appointment on the calendar. Some advisors take on clients but junior advisors do most of the work. At this time, I do have adequate capacity to take on new clients and my clients work with me directly. My client limit is probably less than most, so once I hit my capacity, I will decline taking on new clients. As long as this webpage is active, you’ll know that I’m still taking on new clients.
What Makes Me Different From Other Advisors? I think my biggest strength is my deep investment knowledge that many other wealth advisors might not have. My team’s extensive experience with the ability to readily take on and support new clients is also probably pretty unique. My ability to structure my fees to allow for different types of client services, including assets under management, flat fee and an hourly rate might also be different from others. I just want to charge clients how I would want to be charged for the services provided.
Do Your Own Due Diligence. Like the significant due diligence I perform on the investments in the portfolios that I manage, you should do a ton of due diligence on the wealth advisor that you choose to work with. My team and I welcome the hard due diligence questions from potential clients because we know how difficult of a decision it can be choosing a quality, trustworthy financial professional. You should always get a good sense about the advisor’s experience, support team, services, fee structure, capacity and determine if there is a personality match.
